A case of murder of a young man over friendship with a girl has come to light in Okhla Industrial Police Station area. The accused attacked youth Shivam (18) with a knife on the neck. The victim tried to run away from the motorcycle by coming out of the park, but he fell down from the motorcycle. Police admitted Shivam to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Okhla Industrial Police Station has arrested a minor and an adult Suraj (18).
According to South-East District Police officials, two PCR calls were received on May 2 at 5:27 pm and 5:31 pm. The caller said a boy was injured and had not been taken to the hospital. After this, Okhla Industrial Area was informed at 6:22 pm that Shivam, resident of JJ Camp, Okhla, Phase-II, was brought to the hospital in an injured condition, where doctors declared him brought dead. The victim had a fight with two youths in Salora Park. He was admitted to the ICU and later declared dead by the doctor during treatment.
After registering the case, the team of ATO Shailendra, SI Jyoti, Sonika and Ashish and Havildar Vishal and Vineet started the investigation under the supervision of Okhla police station incharge Sukhbir Malik. During interrogation, it was found that Shivam had come to Salora Park with the accused minor (17 years 10 months) and Suraj (18). Here they had a fight over the girl. Earlier, Shivam was friends with a girl, later that girl became friends with the minor accused. On this the minor took out a knife and attacked Shivam’s neck. Shivam ran out of the park to escape and started sitting on his motorcycle when he suddenly fell on the footpath. Shivam was bleeding from his neck. Seeing this, a person made a PCR call and the local police reached the spot.
Under the supervision of Okhla police station incharge Sukhbir Malik, the police team raided Okhla and surrounding areas throughout the night. After this, the police caught two accused from Okhla Phase-2 in the night itself. The police have presented the minor before the JJ Board.
